The JCB 116D is a road construction equipment, a single-drum soil compactor (vibrating roller), designed for compacting soil, gravel and asphalt base in road, construction and infrastructure works. This model has an operating weight of about 11.3–13.4 tons, a 114 hp (85 kW) diesel engine and a 2.1 m wide roller, which provides high compaction efficiency. The roller vibration system can create up to 256 kN of centrifugal force, thanks to which the equipment quickly and effectively compacts various types of soil. The maximum speed of the machine is about 10.5 km/h.
